The Metropolitan Sessions Judge’s Court of Dhaka on Wednesday directed BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia to appear in the court on February 27 in 10 cases filed against her and others for sabotage and seditious activities, or order would be issued for her arrest.
Judge Kamrul Hossain Mollah came up with the order as the BNP Chief did not appear in his court in
the cases. Her lawyers Sanaullah Mia and Masud Ahmed Talukder appealed to the court seeking more time as the BNP Chief suffers from physical sickness. After hearing on the petition, the court fixed February 27 for her appearance.
Among the 10 cases, 8 sabotage cases were filed with Darussalam Police Station of the city. One for sabotage and the other is a sedition case, which were filed with Jatrabari Police Station in the capital.
