UNB, Munshiganj :Ferry plying on the Shimulia-Kewrakandi route remained disrupted for over nine hours on Thursday night due to dense fog.Shekhar Chandra Roy, assistant manager of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) at Shimulia ghat, said river communication on the route was suspended at 11.00pm due to poor visibility caused by dense fog. Ferry services could not be restored till filing this report at 9.00am on Friday.Consequently, five ferries lay anchored in the middle of the river Padma.
