Confused while choosing the best and worst foods for your toddler? Experts have come up with a list of food items that parents should restrict their child from eating.
Be careful while giving cow’s milk to your little one. Studies say that kids find it tough to digest cow’s milk, which is why you should stick to breast milk or formula milk till your baby is a year old.There are a number of gummy, sugary fruit flavoured candies available in the market that may tempt your child’s palate but experts say that these are harmful for toddlers since they include huge amounts of sugar which are empty calories.
It also sticks in their mouth, making it hard to swallow.
Soft cola drinks have large amount of sugar that also comprise empty calories with studies saying that these drinks are bad for your child’s health because they lead to weight gain later in life.
Food items like ketchup and pickles have artificial colours, high sodium content and preservatives that can be quite harmful for babies.
Cheese also contains a lot of calories which are not easily digestible and can lead to indigestion and stomach ache.
Sweetened breakfast cereals may seem like a healthy option but it comprises large amounts of sugar, not suitable for toddler.
