Kazakhstan national killed in Rooppur Nuke plant site

Vladimir Schwetz, 50, a Kazakh citizen, was killed in Green City, a residential area of the under construction Rooppur nuclear power plant in Ishwardi. Another was injured at the time. Police have detained three Belarusians for questioning over alleged involvement in the killings.
The incident took place late Saturday night in Flat 106 of Building 6 in Green City. The deceased was working as a foreman in Nikimath Contracting Company of Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant. Berejanoy Andreo, a citizen of Kazakhstan, was injured in the incident. He was rescued and sent to Mohakhali Universal Hospital in Dhaka for advanced treatment. Ishwardi Police Station OC Asaduzzaman said three Belarusians named Vitali, Hines and Vladimir had been arrested in connection with the murder of Vladimir Schwartz. The director of Nikimoth Company has lodged a written complaint regarding the murder.

Alam said that at one stage of the discussion in that room of Green City on the issue of financial transactions, there was a fight between the citizens of Belarus and the citizens of Kazakhstan. At one point, it was initially thought that the murder might have been caused by a sharp knife or something else.
The dead Kazakh citizen had 4-5 sharp weapon marks in his back. After learning about the incident, the police went to the residential city building of Rooppur project and recovered the body of the deceased. The body has been sent to the morgue for autopsy.
