Bangladesh is going to sign an agreement with China on Tuesday on construction of a tunnel under the Karnaphuli River in Chittagong.
To join the signing ceremony, an eight-member delegation led-by Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader left Dhaka for China on Friday morning, a sources of R&H said.
Road Transport and Bridges Ministry information officer Sheikh Walid Foyez confirmed the matter to media.
He said the deal will be signed between the Bangladesh Bridges Authority and a company designated by Chinese government- company. During China visit of Prime Minsiter Sheikh Hasina, Bangladesh and China have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on construction of a tunnel under the Karnaphuli River.
