She faced criticism for her dancing abilities and then went on to become one of the finest dancers in the industry. She was bullied for her fashion sense but is now regarded as one of the stylish divas of all time.
Recently, Karisma was seen donning a stunning colour-blocked and monochrome saree from Sanjay Garg’s label, Raw Mango for an Environment Day event in the city. She wore it well with statement rings from Amrapali Jewels and sported minimal makeup that accentuated her local look to the hilt. The 42-year-old actress, who has witnessed a stream of new blood in the industry since her time, asserted that there could not be a better time for newcomers to be in Bollywood than now.
Speaking on the differences she finds in the Indian film industry at present, the Dil Toh Pagal Hai actress said that she has found the industry to spread out strongly which is a positive development. “The film industry has grown a lot. I think when we were there, we never had so many facilities that the newcomers have today. I have seen it growing from strength to strength in different ways. I think it’s a great time for the industry because there is a place for everyone,” she added.
