Karate`s residential training camp begins today

The final phase residential training program for the under-14-16 karate players selected from the grassroots level begins today (Tuesday) at Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium in the city’s Mirpur.
Bangladesh Karate Federation president and Public Administration senior Secretary M Mozammel Haque Khan is expected to inaugurate the training program as chief guest.
National Sports Council (NSC) Secretary Ashok Kumar Biswas and NSC director (sports) Dil Mohammad will present as special guests.
A total of 420 trainees have been finally selected among the four thousand boys and girls from the grassroots level through ten-day training and selection procedure. Among them best twenty players – ten of boys and ten of girls- will be finally selected to groom them for thirty days for higher training at later stage.
