Kapasia in Gazipur, the birthplace of the first Prime Minister of independent Bangladesh, Bangataj Tajuddin Ahmed, celebrated Jail Murder Day on November 3 with due dignity and solemnity. Upazila administration, political, social organizations and various educational institutions took various programs on the occasion of the day.
On Wednesday morning, Upazila Nibarhi Officer (UNO) Golam Morshed Khan, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Rubaiya Yasmin, Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) FM Nasim and various government officials laid wreaths at the portrait of Shaheed Bangataj Tajuddin Ahmed at Muktijoddha Chattar.
Besides, leaders of different levels led by Upazila Awami League President Muhammad Shahidullah and General Secretary Mizanur Rahman Pradhan laid wreaths at the grave of Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed at Banani Cemetery in Dhaka and recited Fatefa and prayed for forgiveness of the soul.
