The war crimes convict Assistant Secretary General Muhammad Kamaruzzaman has been taken to Dhaka Central Jail from Kasimpur Jail of Gazipur. A prison van carrying Kamaruzzaman, left kashimpur jail at around 11:45am on Tuesday, said the senior jail superintendent of Dhaka central jail, Forman Ali. The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court (SC) on Monday upheld the death sentence of Kamaruzzaman for committing crimes in 1971. Earlier on May 9 last year, the ICT-2 sentenced Kamaruzzaman, one of the key organisers of the infamous Al Badr force, to death for committing crimes during the country`s Liberation War. ——risingbd.com
