Kamal leaves for attending IDB, WB meetings

Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal left here for Marrakesh, Morocco on Wednesday to attend the 44th meeting of the Board of Governors of Islamic Development Bank (IDB).
The 44th edition of the Board of Governors meeting of the IDB will be held in Marrakesh on April 5-6. Economic Relations Division (ERD) Secretary Monowar Ahmed will accompany the Finance Minister during the tour, said a press release.
On April 6, Kamal will leave for Washington DC via London to attend the spring meetings of the World Bank (WB) Group and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to be held in the USA capital on April 12-14.
The Finance Minister will lead the Bangladesh delegation where the other delegation members include Bangladesh Bank Governor Fazle Kabir, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister Md Nojibur Rahman and ERD Secretary Monowar Ahmed.
Besides, Bangladesh’s Permanent Representative to the UN Masud Bin Momen and Economic Minister Iqbal Abdullah Harun would join the Bangladesh delegation from New York.
