Kamal Ibne Yusuf laid to rest

BNP vice-chairman, former minister and member of parliament Chowdhury Kamal Ibne Yusuf laid to eternal rest after namaj-e-janaza at Rajendra College ground on Friday afternoon through the participation of hundreds of people.
He was buried beside the grave of his father Chowdhury Yusuf Ali Mohon Mia at Moyez Manzil in Kamlapur. Common people from far-flung of the country joined the namaj-e-janaza to pay their last respect to Chowdhury Kamal Ibne Yusuf.
Earlier at about 2:15pm, the body of Chowdhury
 Kamal Ibne Yusuf was brought at Rajendra College ground on board an ambulance from Moyez Manzil.
At about 3:00pm, Faridpur city’s Chalk Bazar Jame Mosque Khatib and Sammul Ulum Madrasa Principal Mufti Moulana Quamruzzaman conducted the namaj-e-janaza. Hundreds of people attended the namaj-e-janaza of the BNP leader there.
Before the namaj-e-janaza, late BNP leader’s eldest daughter Chowdhury Nayab Ibne Yusuf spoke briefly on behalf of the family.
Besides, Jatiyatabadi Mohila Dal’s central executive committee’s general secretary Sultana Ahmed, Shariatpur’s Bahadurpur Darbar Sharif’s representative Hafez Moulana Mohammad Hanjela, BNP Chairperson’s adviser Zahirul Huq Shahjada Mia, former FBCCI president AK Azad, BNP’s central executive committee’s divisional organising secretary Shyama Obaid Islam Rinku, Dhaka divisional assistant-organising secretary Shahidul Islam Babul, divisional assistant organising secretary Selimuzzaman Selim, among others, spoke on the occasion.
After the namaj-e-janaza, different political, and socio-cultural organisations paid their last respect to Chowdhury Kamal Yusuf placing wreaths on his coffin. On behalf of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, Faridpur District BNP leader Modarres Ali Isa, Faridpur District Awami League leader Syed Masum Hossain, Kotwali Thana BNP, City BNP, Rajbari and Madaripur District BNP, District Jubo Dal, City Jubo Dal, District Sweccha Sebak Dal, District Tanti Dal, District Chhatra Dal, City Chhatra Dal, Faridpur Press Club and Chalk Bazar Banik Samity leaders paid their tributes placing wreaths on the coffin.
Following the janaza, his body was taken from Rajendra College ground to Moyez Manzil at about 3:30pm.
It may be mentioned that Chowdhury Kamal Ibne Yusuf died of Covid-19 at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka on December 8. Earlier, he was admitted to the hospital with pneumonia. Later, he tested Covid-19 positive. He died after remaining under life support for one week at the CCU of the hospital.
