Kajol’s much awaited family drama Helicopter Eela is now postponed to 12th October. The film was earlier scheduled to release on September 7. But the director of the film Pradeep Sarkar was recently diagnosed with dengue and was hospitalised. Even though he was admitted in the hospital, he came out to direct a scene with Amitabh Bachchan to complete the shooting schedule of Helicopter Eela.
As per reports, special care was taken with an ambulance and a doctor on standby on the set at YRF studio while he was shooting for Mr Bachchan’s special appearence in the film. He had an IV drip on his hand and after completing the shoot he went back to the hospital to continue with his treatment.
Producer of the film, Ajay Devgn did not want to continue the post of the film without Pradeep Sarkar and will wait for him to come out of the hospital and be fit enough to resume work. And that’s the main reason why Ajay Devgn along with co-producer Jayantilal Gada (pen) have decided to shift the release date to 12th October. Helicopter Eela is based on Aanand Gandhi’s Gujrati play Beta Kaagdo. The film is based on the topic of parenting and generation gap. Kajol is playing a single mother who leaves her successful career to raise her only son. The film also stars Riddhi Sen, Neha Dhupia and Tota Roy Chowdhury.
