The government on Sunday appointed Justice M Enayetur Rahim the Chairman of the International Crimes Tribunal-1, 54 days after the post fell vacant.
A gazette notification was released in this regard. The post of the ICT-1 chairman fell vacant after Justice ATM Fazle Kabir retired at the age of 67 on December 31 last year. Since then, the tribunal remained dormant.
A former elected secretary of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA), Justice Rahim was elevated to the High Court bench from the Bar on June 30, 2009 as additional judge. Later, he was regularised as the High Court judge.
