UNB, Dhaka :
Muslims across the country observed Jumatul Wida, the last Friday of Ramzan, with due religious zeal and reverence.
A large number of fasting devotees attended the Jum’a prayers at mosques across the country with special munajats seeking divine blessings for peace and progress of the country and the unity of the Muslim Ummah.
Jumatul Wida has a special importance as it is a prelude to the departure of holy month of Ramzan.
The biggest congregation was held at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in the capital. Special arrangements were made to accommodate the extraordinary surge of the faithful in all mosques in various parts of the city.
During the Jum’a prayers, imams and khateebs delivered sermons on the importance of Ramzan, Eitekaf, Eid-ul-Fitr and other religious issues.
