People of different political organisations including Bangladesh Awami League (AL) and its front organisations expressed their dissatisfaction over the verdict delivered by a special tribunal in two cases of the August 21 grenade attack.
They said , BNP Senior Vice Chairman Tarique Rahman is the mastermind of the much-talked-about heinous August 21 grenade attack and it is known to all.
Meanwhile, some of the political leaders also expressed their satisfaction for getting justice from the court. Different pro-AL organizations brought out separate processions from 17 points of the city and every upazila sadar demanding death sentence of Tarique Rahman.
Talking to journalists Mofizur Rahman, General Secretary of Chattogram South District Awami League, described BNP Senior Vice Chairman Tarique Rahman as a mastermind of the brutal attack. He also demanded capital punishment of Tarique Rahman and bring all fugitive convicts including Tarique, from abroad.
General Secretary of Chattogram North District Awami League M A Salam said the grenade attack was implemented according to the master plan of Tarique Zia.
“The general people expect capital punishment of Tarique,” he added
Besides, the people of Raozan Upazila expressed dissatisfaction over the verdict and they demands capital punishment of the mastermind of the grenade attack Tarique Rahman. A huge jubilant procession led by local legislator ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury MP arranged at Raozan Sadar on Wednesday afternoon and held a huge gathering at Raozan Sadar in front of Raozan Govt College with Upazila AL President Kamaluddin in the chair.
UP chairmen of Raozan Upazila, Chhatra League leaders, Jubo League leaders, Poura Panel Mayor participated the procession and jubilant gathering.
City Mayor AJM Nasiruddin , General Secretary of Chattogram South District Awami League Mofizur Rahman and General Secretary of North district AL MA Salam described BNP Senior Vice Chairman Tarique Rahman as a mastermind of the brutal attack.
