The body of a local Juba Dal activist was recovered in Feni on Thursday morning, three days after he went missing.
The deceased was identified as Amir Hossain, 29. He was an activist of local Juba Dal, the youth wing of the BNP. He was a resident of Mutobi Union under Feni Sadar upazila.
Police recovered the body of Amir Hossain from a water body near his residence. The local people saw the body floating there and then informed the police. Officer-in-Charge of Feni Model Police Station Mahbub Murshed said that they sent the body to the Feni Sadar Hospital for autopsy. He also said that they would take legal action in this regard.
Amir Hossain went missing on Monday from his locality. He came out of his house for his business institution in the morning on that day. Since then, he had been missing.
His wife Morzina Akhter filed a general diary with the Feni Model Police Station on Monday night in this connection.
