JU teachers, students stage demo protesting attack on quota reformatists

Teachers and students of the Jahangirnagar University (JU) brought out a procession on the campus to demand quick punishment of the Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) men who involved in attacking teacher and students in DU recently.
The protestor under the banner “Sikkhok Sikkharthi Oaykka Manch” brought out a silent procession at the campus. Their mouth covered with the black cloth, from the social science building and ended at Central Saheed Minar premises at the campus after paraded the main street of the campus.
Professor Mirza Taslima Sultan, Professor Syed Ferdous, Professor Manash Chowdhury of Anthropology department, Professor Sharmin Sultana of Bangla department, professor Tareq Chowdhury and Mostafa Nazmul Mansur (Tamal) of philosophy department took part at the program.
Meanwhile, a total of six departments included with Philosophy, History, Physics, Finance and Banking, Accounting and Information system and Zoology department of the university boycotted their classes and examinations to demanding the punishment of quota reformist attackers and reform of quota system in all government job recruitment processes.
