Jahangirnagar University Registrar (Acting) Rahima Kaneez has tested positive to Covid-19 though she had received both shots of the Covid-19 vaccine. The Personal Assistant of the Registrar Nazrul Islam confirmed it.
Nazrul said, husband of the registrar also tested positive. Both of them have been admitted to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) on Saturday.
“Registrar’s physical condition is well right now. She received both shots of the Covid-19 vaccine in March,” Nazrul says.
However, Mohammad Ali, Deputy Registrar (Teaching) had been made acting Registrar effective from July 23, says an office order issued by the university authority.
