The 45th founding anniversary of Jatiya Sramik League (JSL) will be observed in the city as elsewhere across the country today with extensive programmes.
On this day in 1969, Jatiya Sramik League was floated through a council held at the Institution of Engineers in Dhaka at the instruction of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Marking the day, leaders of JSL, Dhaka City South and North units of the labour organisation will lay wreaths at the portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on the premises of Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi Road-32 at 9 in the morning.
Elaborate programmes have also been chalked out by JSL, its units and basic unions under its jurisdiction in observance of the day in a befitting manner.
