JS session to continue till Nov 23

The 18th session of the 10th parliament that began on Sunday will continue until November 23.
The decision came at a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee of the current parliament held at the Jatiya Sangsad on Sunday. Committee Chairman and Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury presided over the meeting. The session will start at 4pm on each working day. The meeting also decided that the Speaker may extend or reduce the working days of the current session. It has decided to hold discussion on the historic 7th March Speech of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman as Unesco has recognised it as part of the world’s documentary heritage, and Rohingya issue and CPA conference on three separate days.
Leader of the House and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Opposition Leader Raushon Ershad, Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu, Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed, Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim, Deputy Speaker Fazle Rabbi Miah, Abul Hasnat Abdullah, Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon, Chief Whip ASM Firoz, Main Uddin Khan Badal and Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Adv Anisul Huq attended the meeting. The Prime Minister told the meeting that the 7th March speech is the main source of inspiration of the nation. “This speech is recognised by the world,” she said.
On Rohingya issue, she mentioned that Bangladesh opened the new door of humanity by giving shelter to the Rohingyas and it is acclaimed worldwide. Sheikh Hasina also appreciated all, including the Speaker, for holding the 63rd CPC successfully.
