Professor Dr Yasushi Makihara of Osaka University, Japan called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman today at his residential office of the university.
Professor of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of DU Dr Md Atiqur Rahman Ahad was present on the occasion.
During the meeting, they discussed various issues including the possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative academic and research programmes between the University of Dhaka and the Osaka University of Japan.
They stressed the need for sharing knowledge and experience among the teachers and students of these two universities to strengthen academic and research activities.
Prof Akhtaruzzaman thanked the guest for his visit to DU and keen interest
in its academic and research activities.
