JS committee reviews disposal of audit objections involving BR

The Parliamentary Committee on Public Accounts on Monday asked the Comptroller and Auditor General’s (CAG) office to expedite the process of disposing their pending audit objections involving the expenditures of Bangladesh Railway (BR) during 2008-2009 and the 2009-2010 fiscals.
“The committee expressed its satisfaction over disposal of some talked about audit objections and asked the CAG office for taking measures for expedited disposal of the rests,” a parliamentary secretariat statement said.
It said the committee reviewed the audit objections over the railway’s expenditures at its 45th meeting, presided over by its chairman Dr Mohiuddin Khan Alamgir.
Members of the committee M Abdus Shahid, Mohammad Amanullah, Panchanan Biswas, Begum Rebecca Momin, M Shamsul Haq Tuku, M Rustam Ali Farazi and Begum Wasika Ayesha Khan joined the meeting.
