JS committee recommends cancellation of licenses of non–performing Hajj agencies

The Parliamentary standing committee on the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism on Thursday recommended for cancellation of licenses of Hajj agencies who failed to perform properly last year.
The recommendation came while 11th meeting of the committee held at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban here with committee chairman Muhammad Faruque Khan in the chair. The committee also discussed other actions so far taken against different Hajj agencies who failed to perform properly last year.
The committee members Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Rashed Khan Menon, Mohammad Nazrul Islam Chowdhury, M Aftabuddin Sarker, Rawshan Ara Mannan and Sabiha Nahar were attended at the meeting.
The meeting has given an instruction to present to submit a detailed report before the committee on development activities of the Shah Amanat International Airport of Chittagong in reference to its stipulated timeframe of completion.
High profile officials including the secretary of the civil aviation and tourism ministry, chairman of the Board of Directors of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, among others, were present.
