The Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Law Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Ministry recommended taking necessary measures for disposing of the trial of the August 21 grenade attack quickly.The recommendation was made on Thursday at a meeting of the committee held at Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban with its chairman Suranjit Sengupta presiding.
The meeting also suggested settling of the cases speedily which are under trial in different courts as soon as possible.It also recommended framing of the laws which were supposed to be enacted in the light of the constitution.
The committee discussed the activities of Bangladesh Judicial Service Commission and the matters mentioned in the articles of the constitution. A report on visiting the Mymensingh District Judge Court by the committee members was placed at the meeting.
