JS body for quick completion of RAJUK flats project in Uttara

Construction of RAJUK flats project in Uttara in the capital is going on in full-swing and distribution of apartment is likely to be started by December 2016.
This was disclosed at the ninth meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Housing and Public Works held at Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban with committee chairman M Dobirul Islam in the chair.
Other members of the committee Kamal Ahmed Mazumder, M Zahid Hasan Russel, AKM Fazlul Haq, Noor-e-Hasna Lili Chowdhury and Noorjahan Begum attended the meeting.
The committee recommended for completion of all ongoing projects as early as possible.
All the ongoing projects of National Housing Authority (NHA), Chittagong Development Authority (CDA), Khulna Development Authority (KDA) and Rajshahi Development Authority (RDA) came up for discussion in the meeting.
The committee asked the authorities concerned to identify the risky buildings to avoid any possible losses and damages which might be caused by earthquakes and recommended to strengthen supervision of building code while constructing buildings.
The meeting was informed that construction of Chittagong City Ring Road Project, involving taka 1,497 crore, would be completed by 2017 to ease traffic congestion in the port city.
The committee recommended for taking proper steps to remove water logging in Chittagong city.
