JS body for preventing recurrence of irregularities in Rooppur project

The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Science and Technology Ministry recommended taking necessary steps to prevent irregularities and corruption in the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant Project.
The committee made the recommendation at its 2nd meeting held recently at the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Bhaban, said an official press release here.The meeting discussed about the overall implementations of Science and Technology ministry and Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant project. However, the meeting expressed dissatisfaction with the recent incident of irregularities in the project and recommended taking necessary steps to prevent the repetition of anomalies.
With the committee Chairman AFM Ruhal Haque in the chair, the meeting was attended by committee members Iqbalur Rahim, Md Habibe Millat Md Mozaffar Hossain, Shirin Ahmed, Selima Ahmad and Habiba Rahman. Science and Technology Minister Architect Yeafesh Osman also attended the meeting at a special invitation.
