The Parliamentary Committee on Public Undertakings recommended a long term plan to maintain the quality of Bangladesh Milk Producers’ Co-Operative Union Ltd, popularly known as “Milk Vita”.
The recommendation was made at the 5th meeting held on Tuesday at Parliament House with its President ASM Firoz in the chair, an official press release said. Committee members Mostafizur Rahman, Omar Faruk Chowdhury, Ismat Ara Sadek, Narayan Chandra Chand, Md. Mahbub-ul-Alam Hanif, Mirza Azam, Mohammad Nazrul Islam and Md Zillul Hakim attended the meeting. They discussed about the recruitment of more people to ensure better quality of milk so that Milk Vita could retain its reputation. Overall activity of Bangladesh Milk Producers’ Co-Operative Union Ltd was also discussed in the meeting. Senior officials of the concerned ministry and Jatiya Sangsad Secretariat were also present at the meeting.
