Parliamentary Standing Committee on Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Ministry today asked the ministry to send letter to Finance Minister for allocating necessary fund to CHT Development Board for bringing dynamism in the board’s activities.
The committee also recommended giving priority in improvement of power sector for development of the Hill Tracts.
The recommendations were made at the 7th meeting of the committee held at Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban with its chairman R A M Obaidul Muktadir Chowdhury.
Committee members state minister for CHT affairs ministry Bir Bahadur Ushwe Sing M, Mohammad Subid Ali Bhuiyan, Kujendra Lal Tripura, Firoza Begum (Chinu) and M A Awal attended the meeting.
The committee members also asked the land commission to give proper importance to the opinions, made by the people representatives of regional council of the three hill districts.
