The Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Environment, Forest and Climate Change Ministry recommended conducting an assessment through experts on the loss and damage of environment and biodiversity for sheltering the forcibly displaced Rohingya population in Cox’s Bazar.
The parliamentary watchdog came up with the recommendation recently while a delegation of the body, led by its Chairman Saber Hossain Chowdhury, was visiting Rohingya camps in Ukia, Teknaf.
The delegation included Jafar Alam, Md Rezaul Karim Bablu and Khodeja Nasrin Akter, an official press release said.
