The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry on Wednesday held its 11th meeting with the committee Chairman R.A.M. Obaidul Muktadir Chowdhury in the chair. Committee members State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Md Mahbub Ali, Ashek Ullah Rafique and Sayeda Rubina Akter attended the meeting, said a press release issued here.
During the meeting, progress of implementation of the decisions and recommendations adopted in the last meeting and projects implemented by the Civil Aviation Authority and the preparation for the celebration of Mujib Year were discussed in detail.
It was said in the meeting that, Cox’s Bazar Airport is undergoing development to transform into an international airport to improve communication with neighboring countries, especially India, Myanmar, Thailand, China, said the release.
