JS body for banning 3-wheelers on highways

The Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges recommended to take steps for banning the ply of three-wheeler vehicles (Nasimon- Karimon) on the highways.
The recommendation was made at the 4th meeting of the committee held on Monday at the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Bhaban with its Chairman Md Akabbar Hossain in the chair.
The meeting had a discussion on ‘broker-free Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA)’ in the country.
It recommended taking necessary arrangement for visiting the construction site of Padma Bridge in next February.
Committee members Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader, Enamul Hoque, Md Abu Jahir, Md Salimuddin Tarafder and Rabeya Alim attended the meeting. Senior officials concerned were also present.
