The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Home Ministry yesterday scrutinized ‘Law and Order Disruption Crime (Speedy Trial) Bill, 2014’ and finalised a report to present in the House.The report was finalized at the first meeting of the standing committee held at the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Bhaban with committee Chairman Tipu Munshi presiding, said an official release.Committee members State Minister for Home Asaduzzaman Khan, Omar Faruq Chowdhury, M Mozammel Hossain, Abul Kamal Azad, Abu Sayed Al Mahmud Swapan, Fakhrul Imam and Kamrunnahar Chowdhury attended the meeting.The meeting expressed profound respect for members of law enforcement agencies killed in violence before, during and after 5 January polls.Home Ministry Senior Secretary CQK Mustaque, Inspector General of Police Hassan Mahmud Khandakar, RAB Director General M Mokhlesur Rahman, DMP Commissioner Benajir Ahmed and senior officials concerned were present at the meeting.
