UNB, Rangpur :
A local Jatiya Party leader suffered injuries in an attack by unknown miscreants in Munshipara area of the city on Friday.
The victim was identified as SM Yasir, member secretary of Rangpur city unit of Jatiya Party.
Police and party sources said Yasir came under attack by a group of miscreants in Munshipara area on his way home after offering fateha at the grave of his father after Jum’a prayers.
The attackers chopped him with sharp weapons, leaving him injured.
The injured was taken to Rangpur Medical College Hospital, said Inspector (Investigation) of Kotwali Police Station Abdul Aziz.
