Joybangla editor Mustafa Allama no more

Mustafa Allama, Editor of the weekly newspaper Joybangla, published from Mujibnagar during the Liberation War has died.
He breathed his last at his home in Michigan, USA. He was 61 years old at the time of his death.
People of the expatriate Bangladeshi community informed police when they could not contact him for two or three days. Police broke down the door of the house on Sunday and found him dead.
Mostafa Allama was born in 1949 in Deulgram of Sylhet. His janazah will be held at Mosque Noor on Monday.
During the Liberation War in 1971, Mustafa Allama served as General MAG Osmani’s Public Relations Officer and Press Secretary. He was shot and wounded by a helicopter in the skies of Sylhet on December 16 while going to attend the surrender ceremony of Pakistani forces in Sylhet with Osmani.
Before the Liberation War, he was the public relations and publicity secretary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and after independence, he was the special secretary.
