4 militants held in C’nawabganj

A team of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive arrested four alleged members of Jama’tul Mujahidin Bangladesh (JMB) from a mango orchard at Amlian in Nachol upazila in Chapainawabganj district on Monday.
The arrested men are: Toufiqul Islam alias Toufiq Doctor, Sanaullah alias Sulav, from Shibganj upazila, Monirul Islam ailas Laden and Ziaur Rahman alias Zia from Gomostapur upazila, said Major Shibli Mostafa, RAB-5 Chapainawabganj Commander.
Following information, the elite force members
conducted a raid in the orchard and arrested three JMB men at around 1:00am while some Neo-JMB members gathered to hold anti-state secret meeting. After sensing the presence of law enforcers most of the JMB men fled from the spot, the RAB official said.
After getting information from the trio, they arrested Laden from their house nearby the orchard, he said.
In primary interrogation, they confessed to the RAB that they were members of Neo-JMB, said the Major Shibli.
They were trying to collect new members and fun for the organization, he said.
Some religious books and leaflets were seized from their possession.
