Shapla Forum, an alliance of progressive teachers of Islamic University (IU, unveiled ‘Joutirman’, a souvenir on Bangabandhu’s autobiography.
Vice-Chancellor of the university Prof Dr M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari unveiled the souvenir as the chief guest in a meeting of the forum held on Tuesday at Birshrestha Hamidur Rahman auditorium on the campus.
IU Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr M Shahinoor Rahman and tTreasure Prof Dr M Selim Toha addressed as special guests with Prof Dr Rizuanul Islam, President of the organisation in the chair.
Over 100 teachers of the alliance were present at the event conducted by its General Secretary Prof Dr M Mahbubar Rahman.
Earlier, Shapla Forum arranged a tree plantation programme near the auditorium.
