The authorities of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) in a sudden move on Saturday put a bar on the entry of journalists into the hospital without prior permission.
The Members of Ansar at the entrance of DMCH Emergency Department obstructed journalists from entering the hospital when they went there to collect information for a report.
When the journalists contacted hospital’s Deputy Director Mushfiqur Rahim over telephone, he requested them to have patience.
While visiting the hospital complex yesterday, the notice ‘entry restricted for journalists’ was seen hanging on the signboard in front of the Emergency Department.
The journalists leaders have demanded withdrawal of embargo within 24 hours, otherwise they will start movement against the decision.
