Journo Kamruzzaman Bablu’s father passes away

Mohammed Ali Asshad (81), father of Kamruzzaman Bablu, Senior Reporter of The New Nation and President of Safe Food & Consumer Products Movement (SFCPM), Bangladesh, passed away on last Tuesday due to cardiac arrest.
He breathed his last around 8:00pm at Holi Flower Hospital in Bangodda at Nangalkot in Cumilla district.
He was buried at his family graveyard following a namaz-e- janaza at his village Jhatiapara Madrasa field at 11.00 am.
He left behind wife, three sons, a host of relatives and well wishers to mourn his death.
Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU), The New Nation family, Chittagong University Alumni Association (CUAA), Chittagong University History Department Alumni Association, Dhaka, Cumilla Journalist Association, Dhaka (CJAD), leaders of various political parties and socio-cultural organizations expressed condolence at the death of Ali Asshad.
They prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
Ali Asshad was born on March 1, 1938 in an aristocratic muslim family in Jhatiapara village in Nagngalkot Upazila in Cumilla. In early life, he served as a land settlement assistant with his father Ali Azzam Amin, who was also a prominent settlement officer.
