Jatiya Press Club’s permanent member and former Associate Editor of The New Nation Hasanuzzaman Khan died on Sunday night. He was 69.
He breathed his last at his residence at Mirpur Journalist Housing Society around 9 pm. His namaz-e-janaza was held at 11 am on Monday at the Jatiya Press Club premises, said a press release.
Hasanuzzaman, who was also News Editor of The Daily Independent, is survived by wife, two daughters, a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
JPC President Mohammad Shafiqur Rahman and
General Secretary Farida Yasmin expressed their profound shock at the death of Hasanuzzaman. They also conveyed their deep sympathies to the bereaved faily members. Nurul Huda and Aminul Haque President and Secretary respectively of Journalists’ Cooperative Housing Society expressed their sat demise other sat at the death of Hasanuzzaman Khan. He was laid to rest at Kalshi Graveyard.
