Journalist Saki attacked again in Sylhet

The incident of Onslaught has been occurred again on Sadiqur Rahman Saki, the Sylhet correspondent of the private television Channel- I and the News Editor of the daily Sabuj Sylhet. It is alleged that the attack was carried out at around 2pm on Sunday (December 27) at Saki’s house in Goaipara, led by local gambler and terrorist Kamal Uddin. Police have arrested two of the main accused named Kamal and Tengku.
Saki said the same people attacked him for the fifth time. It was blurted out that the attack took place due to previous hostilities. Saki was seriously injured in the attack. He was rescued and admitted to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital.
Later, at around 3.30 pm, the main accused Kamal and another man named Pinku were arrested from Goaitula in the city by the Amberkhana outpost police under SMPÕs Airport Police Station.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Media) of Metropolitan Police BM Ashraf Ullah Taher confirmed the arrest. He said the two accused persons of the incident were arrested and currently they are in the custody of the airport police. Preparations are underway to file a case againstt hem.
According to local sources, about 16 people led by local gambler and terrorist Kamal Uddin carried out the attack in front of his house in Goaipara around 2pm on Sunday (December 26).
Abdul Basit, a former in-charge of the Amberkhana outpost, launched an operation against the Kamals after receiving information about gambling. From then on, the terrorists started animosity with the journalist Saki. According to which he was attacked 5 times one by one. around two o’clock on Sunday, Saki went to the shop next to his house. Then at first the attackers started arguing with Saki. Saki then informed the matter to airport police.
