Journalist Kamal Uddin passes away

Journalist Kamal Uddin (M Kamal), Senior Editorial Assistant of Bangla Daily Kaler Kantha, died at a city hospital on Wednesday. He was 62.
The prominent journalist and permanent member of Jatiya Press Club (JPC) breathed his last at 6:15 am at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University. M Kamal was suffering from lung cancer.
He left behind his wife, son, daughter and many relatives, friends and well-wishers to mourn his death.
M Kamal started journalism career with Daily Kalbela. He also performed important duties in various media houses including daily Janakantha, Bangladesh Observer and Daily Amar Desh.
His first namaz-e-janaza will be held at the JPC premises after Zuhr prayers. Following the second namaz-e-janaza at Hazrat Shah Ali Bughdadi R Mazar Sharif premises, he will be buried at the grave of his parents at Mirpur Shahid Intellectuals graveyard.
JPC President Muhammad Shafiqur Rahman and General Secretary Farida Yasmin expressed profound shock at his death.
