A local journalist of Bijoy TV was electrocuted in Monsatoli area under Sadar upazila of the district yesterday morning.
The deceased was Torikul Islam Yunus, 33, a resident of the same area.
Officer-in-Charge of Barguna Thana Masuduzzaman said Torikul came in touch with a live electric cable at his residence when he was connecting a TV line.
He died on the spot.
