Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu MP inaugurated Journalist Club and Café by cutting ribbon and unveiling plaque at the 4th floor of the Hotel Samrat, 23/3 Topkhana Road in the city as chief guest on Friday.
Justice Md Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed, Chairman, Bangladesh Press Council, Abdul Jalil Bhuiyan , Secretary General, Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ), Altaf Mahmud, President, Dhaka Union of Journalists ( DUJ), Omor Faruque, former DUJ president, Saban Mahmood, former general secretary, DUJ, Farazi Azmal Hossain, Political Editor, The Daily Ittefaq, Khandaker Mohammad Khaled, News Editor, The Daily Janokantho and Auronna Huq, Chairperson, Jago Bangla Group and Jago Bangla Foundation were present as special guests.
The inaugural function was also attended by former President of Dhaka Reporters Unity Mostaque Ahmed , Assistant Editor of the daily Ittefaq Faizus Salehin, Alokito Bangladesh News Editor Tariq -ul- Islam, DUJ Treasurer Shahana Sheuly, Dhaka Sub-Editors’ Council (DSEC) President Ashraful Islam, DSEC Organising Secretary Sanjida Sultana, journalists Azad Kabir, Hemayet Hossain, Harun Chowdhury, ATM Nurun Nabi, Firoj Alam Milon, Momena Akther Popy, Shamima Akther, Shamina Akther, Khorshed Alam and Jewel Halder.
Abdul Bari, Joint News Editor, The daily Ittefaq and Chairman of the Journalist Club and Café presided over the function and it was conducted by Mostafa Manwar Sujan, Managing Director of the Club and Mofizur Rahman Khan Babu, Director (Admin) of the organization.
The function was followed by an attractive cultural function.
