JnU student suspended for breaking discipline

The Jagannath University (JnU) authorities yesterday suspended a student temporarily and issued show-cause notices on the two other students for assaulting four students of the English department, who protested the incident of harassing a female student on the campus on March 27.
JnU Registrar Md Ohiduzzaman confirmed it to The The New Nation adding that authorities suspended Md Hasanuzzaman and issued show-cause notices on Md Samiul Al Sabah and Mohammad Younus Mia as the trio were found violating the campus discipline of the university in a primary investigation into the Wednesday’s incident.
Witnesses said at least five students of JnU Islamic History and Culture department: Abu Rayhan Riaz, Md Hasanuzzaman, Md Samiul Al Sabah (Shawon), Mohammad Younus Mia (Rajib) and Raisul Sarker Emon stalked a female student of the English department and showed indecent signs to her on the campus on March 27.
They humiliated four other students of English department when they protested the incident.
