JM Shen High School of Chittagong reached the quarter-finals of the First Security Islami Bank National School Hockey Competition when they made a 1-1 draw with Faridpur Police Lines School in their Group D match at the Moulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium on Thursday.
JM Shen High School and Faridpur Police Lines School earned seven points each from their respective three Group D matches. By virtue of better goal difference, JM Shen High School got the tickets of the last eight.
Earlier, Rafiquddin Memorial High School of Comilla confirmed their quarter-finals berth from Group A while Khanjanpur High School of Joypurhat reached the quarter-finals from Group B.
In the day’s first match, Moijuddin High School settled for a 2-2 draw with Baitush Sharaf Jabbaria Academy at the same venue.
In the day’s second match, Damkurahat High School drew 3-3 with BAF Shaheen School, Dhaka at the same venue.
In the day’s fourth match, Richi High School beat MA Bari Secondary School by 3-2 goals at the same venue.
