A Juba League (JL) leader was arrested with a pistol from near the reception programme organised in honour of the Prime Minister in the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) area on Friday afternoon.
The arrested man has been identified as Selim Khan alias Jamai Selim, Information and Research Secretary of the JL, City North Unit, detective sources said.
Police have recovered a pistol and two rounds of bullets from his possession, they said.
“He is being interrogated,” said a Sub-Inspector of the Airport Police Station.
He will be produced in the court after filing a case against him, the SI said.
