Unidentified miscreants stabbed a local Jubo League leader to death on Wednesday.
The tragic incident occurred in Ranigram Bazar area of Sirajganj town at 8.30am.
Golam Mostafa alias Boma Mostafa, 45, was the President of Jubo League’s Ward No-7 unit of Sirajganj municipal town.
Mohammad Daud, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sirajganj Sadar Police Station told the media that Mostafa was sitting in front of a tea stall in Ranigram Bazar in the morning.
A group of youths stabbed him indiscriminately from behind and fled the scene before the people arrived at the spot.
Local people took him to Sirajganj Sadar Hospital where the on-duty physician declared him dead, added the OC.
