Abdur Rahman Jibon, Member of Sub-Committee of Bangladesh Awami Leauge has been lobbying to get the ticket of the party in the upcoming upazila election from Munshiganj Sadar .
Jibon is also former Joint-Secretary of Bangladesh Chhatra Leauge Central Committee.
Locals said, Abdur Rahman Jibon has achieved the blessings of the people of Munshiganj Sadar Upazila. He stood beside the people since his student life.
Mamun Gazi, a local Jubo League leader, told The New Nation on Tuesday that Abdur Rahman Jibon is a very honest person. He never involved in any unethical activities in the area.
“I like Jibon for his strong personality and pro-people attitude. Our upazila will be developed one if he can elect as chairman,” he said.
Forkan Mahmud, former Assistant Secretary of BCL Central Committee, told this correspondent that he was the friend of the poor and meritorious students on the Dhaka University campus. He also favoured the talent students in his hall (Kabi Zasimuddin Hall) when he was President of the hall unit.
“The people of Munshiganj Sadar Upazila will be delighted if Abdur Rahman Jibon gets AL nomination for the election. I think he is the perfect man to be the chairman of the upazila,”
Talking to The New Nation Abdur Rahman Jibon said, “I imbue the ideology of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Bangabandhu dedicated his whole life for the well-being of the country’s people. I am trying to follow him.””The people of my area like me so much. I always try to do resolve their problem. I have a plan to make my upazila as ideal one in Bangladesh if I get AL nomination,” he said.
