A mobile court in Jhenaidah Sadar has destroyed 35 thousand pieces of illegal poly bags at Dakbangla Bazer under the same upazila on Monday afternoon. The court also fined four business centres for possessing the same. Nejarat deputy collector, also an executive magistrate Mohammad Bashir Ahmed conducted the mobile court, said the court sources.
The court sources said, acting on tip off, a contingent of the rapid action battalion (RAB) led by deputy assistant director (DAD) of the RAB-6 Jahurul Islam conducted searching in the stores of Feroj Ahmed, Shahidul Islam, Munna Hossain and Yunus Biswas seized the contra banned item estimated for Taka 5.35 lakh.
Later the mobile court destroyed the contra banned at Narayanpur high school ground on public at and fined the businessmen Taka 8,000 on the spot, confirmed the NDC.
