Jhalakati, UNB : At least eight people were killed and 25 others injured as a bus plunged into a ditch by Barisal-Khulna regional highway in Rajapur upazila on Tuesday afternoon. The deceased could not be identified yet. AFM Anwar Hossain, assistant police super of Jhalakati circle, said the Barisal-bound bus from Khulna skidded off the road and fell into the ditch in front of Bishwasbari around 4:30pm, leaving three passengers dead on the spot and 30 others injured. The injured were taken to Rajapur Upazila Health Complex where doctors declared five of them dead.
